General Care

With our general care services, we strive to help our patients achieve their healthiest possible smiles.

State-of-the-Art Procedures & Technologies

The dental industry is constantly advancing to create more effective, efficient, comfortable ways to provide dental care. We now use computer technology to help us provide the best possible services for our patients.

We use digital rather than traditional x-rays, to allow us to view developing issues beneath the surface and for a quicker, more comfortable experience for the patient. With 3D scanning and computer models, we can get a more comprehensive view of your overall dental and oral health, which allows us to make more accurate diagnoses and provide better treatment. Laser technology helps us both diagnose dental issues and provide treatments that are more accurate and comfortable for our patients. With 3D printing and milling, we can create and place crown restorations in just one day. The latest materials for tooth restorations are long-lasting and blend in seamlessly with the smile.

Our team is committed to always staying at the forefront of the dental industry by utilizing the latest technologies, helping us create a more positive patient experience and healthier, more beautiful smiles.

Extractions (Oral Surgery)

Teeth that are decayed or broken beyond repair, or that are causing overcrowding, need to be extracted. We only provide extractions when absolutely necessary, but rest assured that they are a routine procedure. Dr. Whiting is highly skilled and experienced and will ensure you are as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure and that you have a quick recovery time.

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal is necessary when infection or trauma in the tooth reaches the nerve inside of the tooth. We take care to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during the procedure, which will help restore the tooth to its former health and relieve the toothache. Because of our use of state-of-the-art technology, root canals are nearly painless.

Cosmetic Care

A beautiful smile can improve your confidence and your quality of life. We will work with you to determine your goals for your smile and will discuss your treatment options to help you achieve a naturally beautiful and healthy smile you love.

In-Office Teeth Whitening

We offer professional, in-office teeth whitening treatments that will create a brilliantly vibrant smile and produce immediate results. Our bleaching system will help whiten your smile by several shades, and the process takes under an hour. Because the treatment is done by a professional, it is much more effective than any over-the-counter whitening solutions.

Veneers

Veneers are thin shells that are bonded to the front of the teeth, hiding stains, chips, cracks, and gaps and improving misalignments and uniformity of tooth shape. Veneers are custom-designed to look natural in your smile and to last for years to come when cared for properly.

Orthodontics

An aligned smile not only improves your confidence, but it also promotes dental health. At our practice, we offer braces for patients of all ages because it’s never too late to work toward a straighter smile!

Preventive Care

We work to prevent dental issues before they arise to save our patients time, stress, and discomfort. We educate our patients on the importance of at-home dental hygiene and proper nutrition, and we provide routine cleanings, fluoride treatments, mouthguards, and other treatments.

Digital X-Rays

As part of our mission to use the latest technology, we use digital x-rays, which expose patients to up to 90% less radiation as compared to traditional x-rays. Plus, digital technology captures and produces images automatically, without requiring development in solutions that are dangerous to humans and the environment. The images captured by digital x-rays are immediately available for viewing on a computer monitor.

X-rays are an important component of preventive care, as they reveal any issues developing beneath the surface in areas of the smile not visible during a visual exam. These issues can include cavities as well as problems with tooth roots, tooth-supporting bone, and gums. Plus, x-rays help us to track the development of a child’s smile.

With digital x-rays, we can share our findings with you easily and immediately so that you can understand the state of your dental health.

Restorative Care

Sometimes, no matter how well you take care of your smile, problems can develop. When they do, we can help. Our experienced team uses the latest, state-of-the-art technology to restore your smile to health and beauty when it has been affected by trauma, decay or infection.

Dental Implants

If you have missing teeth, dental implants can help you smile with confidence again. Dental implants are titanium posts that are surgically inserted into the jawbone to function as the root of the artificial tooth. After the implant has fused to the jawbone, it is restored with a crown to help it look and function just like a real tooth.

Dental implants are permanent tooth replacements that mimic natural tooth structure, don’t require preparation of the surrounding teeth as bridges do, and they prevent jawbone loss, while allowing you to chew and speak with ease and confidence. Unlike with dentures, you don’t have to worry about implants moving around or falling out, as they are secured into the smile. Dental implants can be used to replace one tooth or multiple, and they can transform the health and beauty of your smile.

Our team can work with you to determine if you are a good candidate for dental implants.

Bridges

Bridges are devices made of porcelain, gold, or alloys and are used to replace missing teeth. Removable bridges, like dentures, can be removed to clean but are not as secure in the smile, whereas fixed bridges are bonded to the smile for stability. Implant-supported bridges use dental implants to secure the bridge to the jawbone. We will work with you to determine the bridge option that will best meet your unique needs.

Dentures

Dentures are a popular option for replacing missing teeth. We offer both full and partial dentures, depending on the number of teeth missing. Dentures are custom-created to fit securely in your smile and allow you to chew and speak with confidence, while providing your face with a fuller, more youthful appearance.

Fillings & Crowns

We provide both traditional silver amalgam as well as tooth-colored fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are virtually invisible in the smile and are used on the front teeth, as well as the back teeth depending on the severity of the cavity.

Crowns are caps that are placed over existing teeth that have been affected by trauma or infection, to restore their strength and appearance. They are also used to support bridges, as well as to restore dental implants.
